On Tuesday, July 19, CNA interns presented Operation HOPE's Banking On Our Future financial literacy empowerment workshop to students in the Upward Bound program at Chicago State University, teaching them about money management, financial responsibility and the value of dignity.
The CNA Foundation has presented Operation HOPE with a check for $50,000 in support of our Banking on Our Future program in Chicago, incorporated the financial literacy program into its summer internship experience and corporate responsibility portfolio.

Earlier in May, many talented and dedicated volunteers from Capital One returned to Benjamin Stoddert Middle School in Temple Hills, Maryland to teach the Banking on Our Future curriculum to 417 students in the 7th and 8th grades, eager to understand the language of money.
Investment Professionals from Bank America and Merrill Lynch offices in the Metro Detroit area joined with Operation HOPE on May 25 to educate over 170 sixth grade students at Clippert Academy in Southwest Detroit.
Patrick McCarthy is a 3.99 GPA student. He is also the captain of his high school’s tennis, basketball and soccer team. He is a Chemistry & Physics tutor, a 4-H leader, club treasurer for the Robotics and Equestrian team. Patrick started a Red Cross club at his school. And if that was not enough he was chosen out of hundreds of students to be a Bank of America Student Leader last summer.
Operation HOPE's Banking On Our Future (BOOF) College Edition partnered with ING on Thursday, April 14 to teach Howard University students how to better manage their finances. Students from The School of Medicine, Arts and Sciences, Business, Engineering, Social Work, Dentistry, and Communications attended the workshop, where the ING volunteers taught the basics of personal finance, college savings, and student loans.
In collaboration with THINK Together in Santa Ana, Banking on Our Future (BOOF) was able to educate over 700 middle schools students on the basics of personal finance on Wednesday, April 6. THINK Together organized enrichment programs to keep the students engaged during the Spring Break week, while also having fun, during their week off.
In an effort to give a more holistic overview of the many programs and services offered at our brick and mortar locations across the country, we've officially renamed our HOPE Centers into HOPE Financial Literacy Empowerment Centers.
