By Shammoy Billings, Communications Intern

Hello, my name is Shammoy Billings. I’m a 16-year old Communications Intern at Operation HOPE. I discovered Operation HOPE through Chelsea Clinton, after she introduced me to John Hope Bryant. I quickly became interested in Chairman Bryant as a mentor and role model. He showed me that I can do anything I set my mind to, regardless of the color of my skin.

Since then, I’ve set goals for myself, including finishing high school and getting my diploma. Afterwards, I plan to attend Florida State University, and start my own music label and clothing line. I’m looking forward to learning everything I can to equip me for a bright and successful future.

Operation HOPE’s Internship program recruits high-quality, dedicated individuals through school campus information sessions, online and through community-based organizations. Learn how you can become a HOPE Intern.
