By Morgan Sinclair, Customer Service Administrator, HOPE Financial Dignity Center Atlanta

HOPE Financial Dignity Center Atlanta assisted in hosting the YoBoulevard Back to School Block Party in the historic Old Fourth Ward District. Operation HOPE interns Nika and Nicole took the opportunity to visit the block party to promote the center and its Cyber Café

At the block party, the interns got party attendees excited about what Operation HOPE has to offer. Many people knew where the center was located, but were intrigued by its mission and services. They spoke extensively about programs such as: the career preparation workshop, computer courses, home buyer education and entrepreneur training program.  People were most eager about the home buyer education.

As the party came to a close, Nika and Nicole came to understand how vital and effective reaching out to the community is when promoting HOPE’s mission; it became most clear to neighbors that there is a lot of benefit in joining our mission.

Operation HOPE is proud to be part of the Atlanta City Council’s effort to bring the community together and empower families as they get ready to kick off the new school year.
