His passion for eradicating povertWells Fargo_OH checky is clearly evident and sets
the foundation for my daily work.  When he spoke to Alabama Board members, educators from the local school system, and executives from Wells Fargo, and community leaders at the AG Gaston Conference, John Hope Bryant made sure that he encouraged action.  To inspire others and get them to act, requires a clear vision, understanding your purpose and having unwavering conviction, which John Hope Bryant epitomizes.  Birmingham is a better city because of John Hope Bryant sharing his heart and his vision.  The blueprint has been set and now it is time to execute.  We all have to do our part. As John would say, “if you are going to get caught, get caught trying.”  Let’s GO!!

During his visit John also accepted a check from Wells Fargo. Left to right: Jay Bailey, Operation HOPE Southeast region CEO; Richard Busby, Wells Fargo senior community development officer; John Hope Bryant, Operation HOPE founder, chairman and CEO; and George Trible, Wells Fargo area president.  On Tuesday, Wells Fargo presented Operation HOPE with $50,000 to bring a Small Business Empowerment Program to Birmingham.

For Shante Ross, homeownership councilor expressed, it was hard to contain her excitement during John HOPE Bryant’s visit.  The creation of the Alabama Board, having open dialogue with community partners and promoting home ownership will give the local team power to change the future of “our” communities.

For Small Business Program Manager, LaTanya Millhouse one of the most inspiration portions of the visit when one of our local middle school principal’s term got John HOPE Bryant excited about our community partners.  Aspirations Based Learning Environment (ABLE), where we change how we think ad teach!  John Hope Bryant made it very clear this was “our” dream!  The “Dream” is only as Good as the team deliverable!  The Alabama Team has exceeded all expectations.

The blueprint has been set and we are committed to getting “The Memo” out.  As John HOPE Bryant would say, “If you are going to get caught, get caught trying.”
