		Since August of last year, I have been a Development Associate Fellow with the HOPE Office of Partnerships in Atlanta. I have been involved in a variety of activities, including: working with the development team to research national grants and funding opportunities, conducting legal research for HOPE programming, writing and editing proposals and grant applications, and creating and editing online and print marketing materials for fundraising campaigns.]]></description>

		The DC Financial Dignity Center held its first Entrepreneurial Training Program (ETP) Graduation of 2013. The Honorable Delegate Eleanor Holmes Norton gave the keynote speech.  Delegate Norton shared her vision of how small businesses provide growth and opportunity in the community, and she also applauded the courage our ETP graduates have shown in following their dreams of business ownership. ]]></description>

		In celebration of Financial Literacy month, Banking on Our Future - Baltimore united with University of Maryland to provide a Financial Literacy Empowerment Day to James McHenry Elementary Middle School students. On Thursday, April 25th, 151 students ranging from grades 5 through 8 were afforded the opportunity to apply lessons learned about banking, budgeting, savings, investments and real-life financial situations. ]]></description>
