On April 7, 2010, on a complete fluke, I attended the Shovel Ceremony for the groundbreaking of what would become the HOPE Financial Dignity Center at Ebenezer. That day literally changed my life! When I got home that night, I wrote the following words in my journal:
“Today I attended an event which was truly inspirational and transformational for me. I was groomed for the past 29 years to be apart of such a movement for such a time is this . . . I am grateful for the role that I WILL play in Operation HOPE.”
Immediately I became a volunteer and after serving for nearly 12 months, I landed my dream job as the Financial Management Consultant in the HOPE Atlanta market!
From a groundbreaking ceremony to educating over 1200 adults and personally counseling well over 100 participants, I know that I am leaving the mark I was brought here to leave.
It has been my honor and pleasure to share my gift and passion for Financial Education with this market and the country for nearly two years. Although this is not a “Good-bye,” but rather, “See you later!,” I will truly miss my Operation HOPE family. My peers, partners and program participants have made this journey nothing short of amazing.
With HOPE Always,
