The HOPE Global Financial Dignity Summit Presents: The Future of Global Jobs – The Local Atlanta Economic Miracle

Don Graves

To kick off the HOPE Global Financial Dignity Summit (November 14th – 15th), Operation HOPE, along with The White House Council on Jobs and Competitiveness will host “An Official Listening and Action Field Session” focused on the global economy and the future of jobs.

Headlining this important session will be co-chairs White House Council on Jobs and Competitiveness Executive Director Don Graves, Gallup Chairman and CEO Jim Clifton, and Ambassador Andrew Young.  The co-chairs will be joined by session speaker H.J. Russell President Jerome Russell among others.

This November 14th session will also feature local economic success stories, or, as former Atlanta Mayor and Atlanta Olympics Co-chairman Ambassador Andrew Young calls it, “the Atlanta Miracle.” Young also will serve as an Honorary Co-chair for the event.

Atlanta is the only international city in the American South, which, since the days of the civil rights movement and Dr. King, has come together. Black and white, rich and poor, conservative and liberal, the people of Atlanta have historically joined together with a mission to make a city work. Atlanta is quickly evolving into what many people deem “the city too busy to hate.”

Ambassador Andrew Young

Home to the busiest airport in the world, iconic business brands such as the Coca-Cola Company and CNN, successful global events such as the Atlanta Olympic Games, visionary and inclusive public officer holders and mayors who used positive economic growth at the macro level to hedge against poverty at the micro level, and a vibrant small business community and minority entrepreneurship culture that continues to create jobs and drive growth — Atlanta, Georgia is the perfect example of a city focusing on its strengths.

The listening session will be held from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm, November 14, at the Marriott Atlanta Airport Gateway Hotel. To register or for more information visit
