Project U-Turn Volunteers Make Banking on Our Future a Blast at Kiwanis Summer Camp

The best learning experiences come from educators that aren’t afraid to bring passion and enthusiasm to the classroom, helping kids to engage with the curriculum and share excitement with their educators. Operation HOPE’s volunteers make banking and money management – something that adults even struggle to enjoy – an experience that kids never forget.

Volunteers Samuel Greer, Michelle Guerra, Penny Gonzalez, and Jolisha Smith deserve a special mention for their incredible work with students at a Kiwanis Summer Camp near our Miami HOPE Express. As members of Project U-Turn (from the Prevention Services Division of Family & Children Faith Coalition), these volunteers are committed to helping kids make healthy goals for their futures and making it fun while they’re at it.

The skills and enthusiasm of these volunteers enhanced the learning experience of the campers, making the curriculum an interactive and amusing educational achievement. Thanks to the Project U-turn volunteers, the kids had a blast working with a new curriculum that helps them to be prepared for a positive future.
