Starting or building a business is no small task, but Operation HOPE New Orleans seeks to make the journey easier for entrepreneurs through its Small Business Computer Center. This center features state-of-the-art computer stations with access to internet, printing, copying, binding and facsimile. Each computer station is equipped with high speed internet, a camera for video conferencing, useful small business software, and much more.
Operation HOPE staff members are keenly aware of the obstacles facing low-income job seekers and budding entrepreneurs. Even with access to free technological services like cyber cafes and copy machines, many applicants have never gained knowledge of essential programs from word processors to online networking websites.
At Operation HOPE’s Financial Dignity Center in New Orleans, a full-time technology coordinator is on hand to assist with online research, Microsoft Office training, QuickBooks assistance, website building, social media support and additional basic computer training. Clients also have the option of scheduling appointments for one-on-one training sessions as needed. The Small Business Computer Empowerment Center will also be used by clients to host seminars and workshops.
A fundamental stage of empowerment is gaining access and ability. By providing technology and training, Operation HOPE is helping its clients grow stronger and more equipped to make their business ideas a success. Staff members lead clients to turn their dreams into strong enterprises that reflect their own growing capabilities.
