SBA Teaches Small Business Workshop at New York HOPE Center
In May 2012, Operation HOPE’s New York Center rekindled the relationship with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) New York District Office by signing a Co-Sponsorship Agreement to provide a Small Business Workshop Series at the Harlem Financial Dignity Center.
The first workshop, “Thinking About Starting A Small Business”, was held on Thursday, June 7, 2012 from 10:30am – 12:30pm. Martha D. Soffer, Economic Development Specialist with the SBA, New York District Office and Michael L. Goldman, Counselor with SCORE (Counselors to America’s Small Businesses) did a wonderful job in outlining the steps to establishing a successful business enterprise. Other topics that will be discussed are: How to Write a Winning Business Plan and How to Market Your Small Business.
