New Students Kick Off Freshman Year With A Bang (and a Buck)

New students at North Carolina’s A&T State University kicked off their freshman orientation last week with important guidance from Operation HOPE’s Banking on Our Future college edition.

On June 19, Operation HOPE conducted part 1 of a 4-part Freshman Orientation Series that will impart financial wisdom to two-thousand incoming freshman students at North Carolina A&T. These students will be equipped with lasting knowledge and tools to tackle credit and money management long after taking out their first student loans.

The University’s staff and administration, like Director of Student Leadership Development Shauna Irwin and Board Member Karen Collins, were relentless in their commitment to bringing HOPE to NC A&T. Thanks to their help, freshmen are starting college life ready to handle adult responsibilities and empowered for a life away from home.
