Stories of HOPE: Students from Progress High School Share Their Success

Student from Progress High School’s BOOF class

It’s Moses Ramathatele from your BOOF class that you had at Progress High School on April 16, 2012. I just wanted to say hi and send you this message from the whole class. We (the entire class) just wanted to say hello and tell you and Mohau how much we miss you guys. You gave us so much inspiration and made us see ourselves in a different light and believe in ourselves. We have hope that we will achieve the things that we want if we just believe in ourselves.

The BOOF Programme opened our eyes on how we use money but on a personal level, it has made me really believe in myself (the other students as well). Rolly, “our business lady”, is also growing her business and she is more excited about it that ever. (She sells sweets.) Blessing has also decided to start his own business as well after the training and he is so motivated and doing well.

Thank You,

Yours Faithfully
THE OPERATION HOPE CLASS at Progress High School

The Banking on Our Future program has earned its success by making a tangible impact on the lives of its students, inspiring clients to undertake their own entrepreneurial activities and secure a better future. Since the April session at Progress High School in Soweto, South Africa, students have incorporated the BOOF curriculum into their daily lives, making well-informed choices based off the program’s focus on financial dignity. We wish the best of luck to our students in Soweto and look forward to hearing more about their progress!
