Banking on Our Future Baltimore Celebrates Global Dignity Day

Banking on Our Future-Baltimore organized its first ever Global Dignity Day Event at Windsor Hills Elementary/Middle School on October 19. Our guest speaker, Baltimore City Council President Bernard C. “Jack” Young, shared with the 90 middle school students what it means to live a life with dignity.

During the events, students had an opportunity to share with each other what dignity meant for them. It was truly an exciting and inspiring day.

A special thank you to Ms. Marcoline, the librarian at Windsor Hills, who worked with the students to prepare posters about dignity.

We’re also grateful to the Chapter President of the Urban Financial Services Coalition in Central Maryland, Leenard Mack, and Pastor Dozier from Coalition of Affirming Pastors. The two donated schools supplies to Windsor Hills and also shared their experiences with the students.

The event closed with inspiring remarks from Principal Davage-Jones, who encouraged the students to have the “courage” to be great in life.
