Remembering September 11

As the  world outside of New York sat in horrific silence after the falling of the towers, Operation HOPE was grateful that HOPE New York Program Manager Jennifer Rivero who worked across the street from the World Trade Center in our donated office space with Deutsche Bank, had a meeting in midtown that morning.

As the days past, it became apparent to HOPE that in the midst of this global human tragedy, we were on a path to an economic tragedy, not only because of the impact on markets and on business, but because of the impact on the families who suffered loss of a loved one, in most cases, the bread winner in their home.

HOPE Coalition America (HCA) was born in the wake of September 11th to empower families to stabilize and rebuild their lives emotionally and financially.  Through our adult financial literacy counseling program, we launched HCA to assist families with basic financial planning and disaster preparedness.

Since that time, HCA has provided services to more than 230,000 individual survivors from 9/11, Katrina, and every federally declared natural or unnatural disaster in the United States and we will keep on empowering families that have survived a disaster and prepare families to deal with the unforeseen in honor of the men and women who gave their life for our country that day.

Operation HOPE send hope and love to everyone who suffered loss ten years ago and will continue to bring HOPE to families in need.

God Bless
