On Tuesday, July 19, CNA interns presented Operation HOPE’s Banking On Our Future
financial literacy empowerment workshop to students in the Upward Bound program at Chicago State University, teaching them about money management, financial responsibility and the value of dignity.
Earlier this year, the CNA Foundation presented Operation HOPE with a check for $50,000 in support of our Banking on Our Future program in Chicago. In conjunction with the generous donation, CNA also incorporated BOOF into its summer internship experience and corporate responsibility portfolio. We blogged about CNA’s commitment here.
CNA and the CNA Foundation have a longstanding tradition of supporting local nonprofit organizations that work to improve the quality of life in the communities where CNA employees live and work.
On behalf of Operation HOPE, the Banking On Our Future program and Upward Bound, I want to personally thank CNA and its volunteers for taking the time to educate, inspire and financially empower our youth. The community appreciates you.
