Construction on our new flagship HOPE Financial Literacy Empowerment Center at Ebenezer is off to an amazing start!
In May, our Atlanta office launched its inaugural Credit & Money Management Workshop at Vision Church Atlanta. Over 112 people attended the event, with 84 people signing up to receive credit counseling.
With such an overwhelming initial response to our various services, the HOPE Center team in Atlanta immediately began strategizing on new initiatives for June. Those initiatives include:
- A Faith Based Initiative, which aims to take our message of hope through economic empowerment directly to the heart of these centers of strategy, understanding that churches have always served as a central place for community members to gather and receive information and make community strategy come to life.
- A Volunteer Cultivation Initiative that will enlist talented business and technology professionals to provide workshops and seminars within the HOPE Center where seminars may include strategic planning, basic website construction, basic computer skills and much more.
- The Fulton County Concentration Initiative is a partnership between Operation HOPE and Fulton County set in motion during Financial Literacy Month in April. The initiative will develop services that will focus on bridging the economic gap in underserved communities by teaching the language of money and empowering employees to make their dreams a reality.
Keep up the phenomenal work, HOPE Center Atlanta! We know this is only a precursor of great things to come!
