The Southwest region held its first Entrepreneurial Training Program Graduation in years at HOPE Inside Northridge! The event began with a potluck, then proceeded on to an introductory speech from Northridge Small Business Coordinator, Gail Lara and Lance Triggs. They greeted guests and graduates with a warm welcome and kicked off the celebratory event with speeches from the program’s 15 graduates.

Among the thirty-five people in attendance, there were eight of our strategic partners that supported our class with marketing, financials, taxes, and business planning. The event even had an Angel Investor disguised as a student. The investor handed out 10 separate red envelopes, each worth $50,000 to fund 10 separate businesses! Needless to say, HOPE Inside Northridge’s first Entrepreneurship Training Program Graduation Ceremony was a success! Our graduates gave heartfelt speeches thanking Operation HOPE, our strategic partners, and their classmates for the experience. Graduates shared the extent of how much the class helped them take their businesses to the next level. Each graduate received a Certificate of Recognition from council member Mitch Englander, along with an Operation HOPE Certificate of Recognition and candy-filled mug from our partner, OneWest Bank.
